Mr. Donghyun Lee is a Junior Researcher at Lexington High School (SC) and Head of Future Engineers Team, specializing in hydro-climatology and machine learning applications for disaster prevention. His research quantifies ENSO impacts on Southeastern US hydrologic extremes, identifying three core response regions (NR/MR/SR) with 0.99 spatial coherence during El Niño events. Findings published in Archives of Civil Engineering and presented at AGU Hydrology Days 2025 (Colorado) and ICCME-24 (Boston/Austin). An ASCE member and SC State Science Competition winner, he also led his team to 1st place in the College of Charleston Math Meet.
